Guildford Flames logged a four-point weekend with a four-goal, shutout victory over Fife Flyers.
"I thought we played a really good team road game. We kept it simple and capitalised on the chances we had," said Jake Kupsky, who stopped 29 shots for his first EIHL shutout. "Defensively we were very solid, and coming up here playing like that feels great. We’re going in a good direction at the moment and just have to keep it going.
"It feels good to get that first shutout, but it’s testament to the guys in front of me for how they played."
Guildford started well and were head just before the nine-minute mark in Kirkcaldy. A Same Jones shot was sved by Shane Owen but only as far as Ethan Strang who tidied up the rebound at 8:40.
Two goals in the middle period put the Flames in complete control. With Daniel Krenželok in the box for cross-checking, Lewis Hook tripped a Travis Brown shot in front of Owen to double the visitors' lead at 33:57, while things got worse for the hosts 15 seconds before the break when Daniel Catenacci scored on the rush to make it 3-0.
Jack Jacome scored in the final 33 seconds of the game to round off an excellent road win for the Flames.
