Ulett suspended for three games
Storm forward receives suspension
On Friday night in Cardiff, Manchester Storm forward #14 Loren Ulett received a five minute penalty plus a game misconduct for slashing.
In the third period with 12:20 on the game clock, after a legal goal for Cardiff, Storm forward Loren Ulett slashed Devil’s forward #79 Ryan Barrow.
Barrow is driving towards the net where Storm forward #20 Alex Robert is back-checking. Robert, in an attempt to slow Barrow down, extends his arms and stick making contact with the back of Barrow’s right leg. This causes Barrow to be off balance before contact is made with Storm goaltender Evan Weninger as Barrow is falling to the ice.
While Barrow is down on the ice, Storm’s Ulett, who is not a part of the original play with Barrow, then skates towards Barrow and, in full control and with two hands on his stick, delivers a dangerous slash to a vulnerable Barrow who is unable to protect himself. This is slashing. It is important to note this is an intentional and forceful slash delivered after a legal goal.
After the slash, Ulett then continues by delivering a forceful cross-check as well as multiple blows to an unwilling combatant whilst being restrained by the officials. This is as an aggressor.
Effective immediately Manchester Storm #14 Loren Ulett is fined suspended for three games.
