Glasgow Clan avenged their 7-6 OT home defeat to Fife Flyers on Friday night by taking a win by the same scoreline and fashion in Kirkcaldy on Saturday.

Jordan Cownie capitalised on a block shot to break down the ice and beat Shane Owen, giving Clan the lead on the rush at 7:39. Teemu Pulkkinen finished the rebound of a Johan Eriksson shot in front to tie the game at 12:53, while Vitalijs Pavlovs fed Troy Lajeuneese for the Flyers go-ahead goal with 89 seconds left in the period.

The Flyers went 3-1 ahead 4:13 into period two with Pavlovs this time getting on a rebound from a Lajeunesse shot, but goals in close form Mike Pelech and Philippe Sanche had Clan back level by 32:16.

Less than a minute later, Pulkkinen was quickest to a puck and rounded Antti Karjalainen to put the Flyers back ahead, before Lucas Chiodo got his stick to a sauce pass from Eriksson to make it 5-3 at 34:24. Colin Shirley put the hosts three ahead with 2:13 left in the middle period.

Pelech scored again 6:50 into the third period before Charlie Combs pulled the visitors back to within one with 8:03 to go. Pelech then made it a hat trick with the equaliser at 56:12, although his team then had to kill a late Combs Holding minor for the final 71 seconds of regulation.

Having returned to four skaters, Sanche shot fro ma tight angle to hit OWen's water bottle on the back of the net and win it for the Clan 92 seconds into bonus hockey.
