Glasgow Clan's recruitment for 2024/25 has continued with the confirmation that Charlie Combs will be back in purple next season.

Clan, who confirmed the return of Mike Pelech for next season earlier this week, announced on Wednesday night that Combs will return for a second term at Braehead Arena in what will be his third Elite League season overall.

“I am really excited to have signed back with the Clan,” he said “I love the direction the club is going in and want to be part of the success to come," said the 27-year-old. "Also, playing in front of the Purple Army has been an unbelievable experience and it shows we have very passionate fans who bring a great atmosphere every night.

“I also love playing under Jason Morgan and since he brought me in, he has given me everything I need to succeed, and I want to reward him and the club by hopefully bringing trophies to Glasgow.”

Combs was injured in pre-season and only made his return to action in December. He has 13 points in 14 appearances to date.

“Charlie brings a great attitude to work as well as enthusiasm, plus his incredible goalscoring and passing ability. He’s a tremendous asset on the powerplay and we’re delighted to have him back," added Head Coach Morgan.

"He had the injury bug earlier this season and since he returned, we’ve been able to see what he can do and what he brings to the team.”

“He’s an elite level player, and every time the puck is on his stick he’s dangerous offensively, and a great guy to have around the locker room."
