Fixtures for 2021/22 revealed!

The Elite Ice Hockey League is delighted to publish the full fixture list for season 2021/22, marking the return of professional ice hockey across the United Kingdom.

All 10 teams will contest the league season, with the Glasgow Clan sitting out the Challenge Cup and starting their campaign on 6 November.

The league season will see each team play each other three times at home, and three away. The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs in the usual format.

The 2021/22 Challenge Cup consists of three groups of three teams each. Teams will play the sides in their group twice at home, and twice away. Further details concerning the post-Group Stage format will be revealed shortly.

Week 1 of the new season is on 25 September 2021, although Coventry and Guildford have opted to begin their Challenge Cup campaign a week earlier. The first league game of the season sees the Blaze host Fife in Coventry.

The league season runs until Sunday 10 April 2022. The playoff quarterfinals take place a week later, over the weekend of 16 and 17 April, with the Playoff Finals Weekend on 23 and 24 April.

Important notes:

  • Glasgow Clan vs. Sheffield Steelers (07/01/22) will be moved if the Steelers reach the IIHF Continental Cup Final
  • One Fife Flyers vs. Sheffield Steelers game is still to be scheduled
