Week 29: Everyone back in league action

It's Week 29 of 31 in the Elite Ice Hockey League and after the excitement of the season's first trophy being decided everyone is now backed focussed on the league - the races for the title, and playoffs.

Action starts on Friday night in Belfast and Coventry. The Giants play the first of their double-header at home to Nottingham as these two teams battle to keep themselves alive in the title race. A four-point haul for either would throw them back into outside contention while picking up none at all would all-but rule them out of the league championship race. Coventry meanwhile host Fife trying to go joint-second - if only temporarily - in their only game of the week.

On Saturday night the Giants and Panthers do battle again, while leaders Cardiff face a tricky home game against Guildford. Fife will have no option but to beat Glasgow to keep their playoff hopes alive, while Sheffield host Manchester.

Sunday sees Cardiff visit playoff-chasing Dundee, with Glasgow making the long trip down to Guildford.
