Road win sees Storm open up cushion in playoffs

Matt Ginn shut out Glasgow on their own ice to help earn Manchester a huge road win in Scotland. It was the second game in a row that Clan have failed to score at home.

40 minutes went by without a goal at intu Braehead before the deadlock was broken, that being despite some 38 shots being put on both goals combined over the opening two periods. When the first goal came it went to the visitors - with Henrik Samuelsson redirecting Mario Puskarich's show 4:48 into the final period. A little over nine minutes later a two-on-one led to the Storm doubling their lead through Scot Simmonds, finishing low off Frankie Melton's pass.

Glasgow pulled Patrick Killeen in favour of the extra skater late on, but despite putting several more shots on Ginn they were unable to find a way through - the Storm netminder held on for a 33-shot shutout in his side's win.
