Sheffield Steelers have signed netminder Jeremy Brodeur for the remainder of this Elite League season.

The 23-year-old American comes in from HK Budapest in the Erste Liga where he ended this season with a save percentage of 91.5% in 12 games. He is the son of former New Jersey Devil, three-time Stanley Cup Winner, and Hockey Hall of Fame member Martin Brodeur.

"We have agreed to bring Jeremy Brodeur in for the remainder of the season, said Head Coach Aaron Fox. "He obviously comes from a great goalie pedigree and has had a really good season between two clubs this year. He’s looking forward to coming in and working hard and gives us another reliable option behind Duba if needed. He should be on the ice here in Sheffield on Wednesday this week”.
