Nottingham Panthers went third in the table as they collected their first win of the week in a home victory over Fife Flyers.

The opening period ended level at a goal each. Sam Jones' smart finish gave Fife the lead with 7:20 played, but the Panthers tied the game up at 12:37 through Adam Deutsch's hard work to drive the net and slot past Adam Morrison as he cut across the crease.

Ollie Betteridge excellently batted home Mathieu Tousignant's feed to put the hosts ahead at 25:11, and the Panthers extended their lead out to 3-1 with Jake Hansen's tip on Deutsch's shot from the point. A late powerplay goal Carlo Finucci made things interesting with 2:15 to play, but the Panthers held on to take the points.
