Linesman Harris Hussain raising money for blood cancer charity
Harris regularly lines in the NIHL and is an EIHL prospect official
Ice hockey linesman and Elite League prospect Harris Hussain is currently in hospital, battling hard against lymphomas caused from complications from his Bone Marrow transplant last July. He also has a very rare platelet disorder that makes it all the more challenging for him right now.
Haris played ice hockey to Under 18 level and represented the Midlands conference at U11 and U13 levels. More recently he became a Level 6 Linesman - regularly lining NIHL Division 1 games as well as being one of the prospect officials for the Elite League.
It is his 19th birthday on 14 February and he has decided that he wants to raise money for DKMS, a Blood Cancer Charity that helped him through his Bone Marrow transplant last year. He has set himself an objective of raising £10,000 by 20 February and is well on his way. However, he still needs more help to get him to his target. He is doing all of this from his hospital bed at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.
