Manchester Storm came from three goals down to take a shootout win against Fife at the Storm Shelter on Sunday night.
The Flyers, who arrived late into the building, wasted no time in getting down to work - Danick Gauthier gave them the lead at what was to become a six-minute goal rush for the visitors. James Living struck at 12:02 before Tim Crowder's effort at 16:11 put the Flyers three ahead after the opening period.
Layne Ulmer finally for Manchester on the board at 32:32, and only 18 seconds later Tyson Fawcett reduced the deficit to just a goal. Scott Simmonds' shot from the point on the powerplay brought Manchester level 4:25 into period three, but neither side was able to find a winner in the rest of the period or indeed overtime.
The extra point was eventually secured by the hosts in a shootout - both Tyson Fawcett and Frankie Melton ere on target for Manchester, while only Chase Schaber could finish for Fife.
