Dundee Stars and Belfast Giants meet for the third time this season on Friday night, with Challenge Cup points on the line at Dundee Ice Arena.
Belfast have taken both of the previous meetings between the sides. The Giants opened the season with a 4-1 win in Dundee, before beating the Stars 8-1 in Belfast a week later.
Dundee head into Friday’s game after their best weekend of the season so far. The Stars came from two goals down to beat Glasgow Clan 5-3 on Saturday for their first win of the campaign, before taking another point from a 3-2 overtime defeat in Fife on Sunday.
Belfast, meanwhile, split their weekend. They beat Fife Flyers 5-2 at home on Saturday before their unbeaten start to the season was ended by a 4-1 defeat in Glasgow the following day.
Belfast have scored on 29.17% of their powerplays in the Challenge Cup and have yet to concede while shorthanded, with a 100% penalty kill. Dundee, on the other hand, are operating at 13.33% on the powerplay and have killed off 66.67% of the penalties they have faced.
