The first midweek games of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season take place on Wednesday night, with Manchester Storm hosting Glasgow Clan and Sheffield Steelers travelling to Guildford Flames.
Manchester welcome Glasgow to the AO Arena looking to carry some momentum from their first win of the season at the weekend. Storm beat Coventry Blaze 5-3 on Saturday after opening their campaign with defeats to Nottingham and Cardiff. Glasgow, meanwhile, played their first league game of the season on Sunday and were beaten 6-1 at home by Sheffield, having taken four points from their opening three Challenge Cup games.
Guildford host Sheffield after a perfect weekend in the Challenge Cup. The Flames beat Cardiff 5-1 at home on Saturday before following that with a 4-1 victory in Nottingham the next evening.
The teams have already met this season, with Guildford letting a three-goal lead slip before eventually losing 5-4 to Sheffield in a shootout.
Sheffield went top of the Motorpoint Elite League on Sunday with a 6-1 win in Glasgow, having also taken maximum points from their three Challenge Cup games. Mitchell Balmas scored a hat trick against Clan as the Steelers continued their perfect start.
