Opening Weekend revealed for 2026/27

Everything is set for the start of the season!

The 2026/27 Elite League season begins on Saturday 12 September, with a full schedule of games across both Saturday and Sunday to kick off the new campaign.

All games across opening weekend will be played in the Challenge Cup, with teams beginning their push to lift the trophy after Nottingham Panthers’ success in 2026.

Across September, there are 32 games scheduled, with 26 Challenge Cup fixtures and a further six league games. Teams will be revealing their first league games of the season later today.

Here’s what opening weekend looks like:

1900 Cardiff Devils vs. Guildford Flames
1900 Dundee Stars vs. Belfast Giants
1900 Fife Flyers vs. Glasgow Clan
1900 Nottingham Panthers vs. Manchester Storm
1900 Sheffield Steelers vs. Coventry Blaze

Sunday 13 September
1600 Glasgow Clan vs. Belfast Giants
1600 Manchester Storm vs. Nottingham Panthers
1700 Dundee Stars vs. Fife Flyers
1730 Coventry Blaze vs. Cardiff Devils
1800 Guildford Flames vs. Sheffield Steelers

Manchester Storm’s home game on Sunday 13 September will see Elite League action return to the AO Arena, marking Storm’s first game there in 24 years.

The full fixtures release takes place at 10am on Friday 10 July.
