Blaze stay in the hunt for top six finish with road win

Coventry Blaze came from behind to beat Fife Flyers 5-3 in Kirkcaldy.

The visitors made a fast start, with William Boysen opening the scoring at 2:51 from Elijiah Barriga before Adam Robbins doubled the lead at 8:32.

Fife responded late in the opening period with two quick goals to level the game. Garet Hunt got the Flyers on the board at 18:41, before Jonas Emmerdahl struck just 18 seconds later to send the teams into the break tied at 2-2.

Coventry regained the lead in the second period through Grayson Constable at 23:47.

The Blaze extended their advantage in the third period when Alessio Luciani made it 4-2 at 45:24.

Fife pushed back and cut the deficit to one through Jeremy Masella at 53:15, but could not find an equaliser.

Connor Russell sealed the win for Coventry with an empty-net goal at 58:41 to complete a 5-3 victory.
