Manchester Storm logged only their second win in their last seven games with a 4-2 road victory over Fife Flyers in Kirkcaldy.
Chase Harrison put the Storm ahead just over nine minutes into the game with the only goal of the opening period.
Neat play allowed Jeremy Masella to level for the Flyers 3:34 into the second. Masella was then caught high to allow JD Dudek to go the other way and put the Storm back ahead a little over two minutes later, while 1:48 before the end of the period Joe Nardi netted from the slot to put Storm two clear.
Josh Winquist got one back for the Flyers 48 seconds before the end of the period to make it a one-goal game after 40 minutes.
Nardi scored again 2:28 into the third which proved to be the game winner in a much-needed win for the Storm who have seen their cushion in fifth slowly chipped away by the teams below them.
