Fife Flyers scored four goals in under five minutes to come from two behind and beat the Guildford Flames 4-3 in Kirkcaldy.
A scoreless opening period was followed by four goals in the second. Keaton Jameson put the Flyers ahead, but Cole Ully struck a natural hat trick in under six minutes to put the visitors firmly in control.
“We had a slow second there and found ourselves in a hole,” explained Jameson. “But I think it says a lot about the closeness of our group, and our resilience, how we came back, got ahead and then closed the game out.”
Justin Ducharme pulled one back for the hosts with 8:30 to play before Jameson tied the game 69 seconds later. Mason Alderson then put the Flyers in front with 4:12 remaining with what proved to be the game-winner.
“Hopefully we can keep this going and get a massive win tomorrow in Dundee,” added Jameson.
