Fossier wins shootout for Panthers

Nottingham Panthers avenged a defeat in Glasgow just over a week ago with a shootout victory on Friday night.

Felix Paré scored the only goal of the opening period to put Glasgow Clan ahead. Nolan Volcan levelled 3:01 into the second, only for Brett Neumann to put the hosts back in front four minutes later.

David Noël tied the game 45 seconds into the third, but Tristin Langan restored Clan’s lead just 12 seconds later. Ollie Betteridge equalised again 2:05 into the period to cap an explosive start to the third.

The teams failed to find another goal in either the remainder of the third period or overtime. In the shootout, the returning Mitch Fossier scored the only goal to give the Panthers the extra point.
