Helgesen suspended for Aggressor

Devils defenseman receives suspension

The Elite League's Department of Player safety has automatically fined and suspended Cardiff Devils #44 Tyson Helgesen for being assessed a fighting aggressor, major and mandatory game misconduct during the final five minutes of League Game 168 between Cardiff Devils and Nottingham Panthers on February 1 2026.

The incident will be recorded on the player's record for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Rule 46 - Fighting: Fines and Suspensions (as per EIHL Casebook):
(1) Instigator/Aggressor in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time (or Anytime in Overtime)
A player who is deemed to be the instigator/aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at any time in overtime shall be suspended for one additional game, pending a review of the incident.

Effective immediately Cardiff Devils #44 Tyson Helgesen is fined and suspended for one game.
