Clan win leaves Stars further adrift

Glasgow Clan got am much-needed win over playoff chasers Dundee Stars, coming away with a 6-1 victory on Sunday night on Tayside.
Bradley Schoonbaert opened the scoring early at 02:09, picking up a behind-the-net pass from Morten Jürgens and beating Liam Soulière in close.
Glasgow pulled a goal back just forty-one seconds later through Alex Forbes, who slid the puck under the pads of Emil Kruse for his second of the weekend at 02:50.
Deven Sideroff gave the Clan their first lead of the night at 13:03, knocking the puck home after a bank pass off the back wall by Daniel Tedesco.
Joe Hazeldine made it 3-1 at 17:53, pouncing on a rebound and firing the puck into the Stars’ net.
Hugo Roy added a fourth at 26:07, redirecting a point shot from Hazeldine past Kruse.
Brady Risk made it 5-1 at 37:04, beating the Stars’ netminder with a onetimer from the high slot.
Robert Lachowicz finalised the scoring, breaking in alone and beating Kruse with a wrist shot at 54:16.
The defeat leaves the Stars 15 points off a playoff place with 24 games to go.
