And breathe! After a busy Christmas and New Year schedule each Elite League team has a few days off this week before getting back to competitive action - and there's also an important European final.

Nottingham begin their IIHF Continental Cup Final campaign on Friday in Denmark. The last time the Panthers made it into the final round they won the competition and are now looking to secure the only Elite League's second-ever title in this event.

Here's their schedule for the weekend:
10.01 1830 UK: SønderjyskE Vojens (DEN) vs. Nottingham Panthers
11.01 1500 UK: Nottingham Panthers vs. Comarch Cracovia (POL)
12.01 1800 UK: Nottingham Panthers vs. Neman Grodno (BLR)

In the Elite League, action starts on Friday night with league leaders Sheffield heading to third-placed Belfast; and Glasgow hosting Coventry.

With the Panthers not in league action, there are only three Saturday fixtures: Cardiff look for revenge in Manchester a week after losing to the Storm, Dundee host Guildford and Coventry are back on home ice against Fife.

Sunday has Sheffield hosting Glasgow, Belfast making the trip to Guildford, Dundee on the long journey down to Cardiff, and Manchester heading up to Fife.
