Glasgow Clan took the bonus point in their Scottish derby visit to Kirkcaldy but had to do it the hard way after Fife scored a late equaliser.

Dylan Quaile's blueline effort put the Flyers ahead with just over ten minutes gone in an intense game at Fife Ice Arena. Rasmus Bjerrum levelled for the Clan on the powerplay 2:12 into period two, and with just under 37 minutes done Jorgan Heywood put the Clan ahead.

Fife hit back through James Isaacs 1:42 into the third period, only for Travis Ehrhardt to put the visitors back ahead with 8:03 left in regulation. Fife pushed for a late equaliser and were rewarded when Carlo Finucci jammed the puck over the line with 1:27 to play to the delight of the home crowd.

The Flyers had chances to win the game in regulation on a one-man advantage, and then a 5-on-3 in overtime but were unable to convert.

In the shootout, only Mike Cazzola found the next for the hosts; while Mikael Lidhammar, Chad Rau and Nolan LaPorte's goals were enough to get Glasgow the extra point.
