Coventry Blaze picked up their second league win of the season with a 4-1 victory in Kirkcaldy, leaving Fife Flyers still searching for their first league win after six games.

Grant Mismash opened the scoring 7:13 into the first period, left all alone in front to neatly deke past Christian Purboo and give the visitors the lead.

The crowd at Fife Ice Arena didn’t see any goals in period two, but were on their feet 2:26 into the third when new signing Giordano Finoro skated through shorthanded and beat Dershahn Stewart to level the game.

Coventry responded almost immediately through Grayson Constable less than 90 seconds later, and by 44:14 William Boysen had made it 3-1 as the visitors quickly reasserted control.

Matthew Gleason fired home from close range after excellent work by Jack Hopkins with six minutes to play to seal a strong road win for the Blaze.
