Over 8,000 toys donated to charities

Elite League teams and their fans have once again shown their generosity this festive season.

Several teams organised their annual 'Air the bear' nights in the run-up to Christmas, and we are delighted to report that over 8,000 teddy bears and stuffed toys were collected. These are all distributed to charities and hospitals in the teams' local areas.

In addition, Fife Flyers wore special CHAS Christmas jerseys in their home game on 22 December. These were auctioned off after the game and the profits, therefrom, together with other activities on the game night, are donated to CHAS - Children's Hospices Across Scotland.

Nottingham Panthers will wear special jerseys on 26 December with proceeds being donated to the Trent Cardiac Unit.

Everyone connected to the Elite League and its teams thanks you for your generosity at this time of year.
