Tonight: 4 games on Saturday night

It's Saturday night hockey once again, and there are eight teams in action across four games this evening.

1900 Cardiff Devils vs. Nottingham Panthers

When Nottingham last visited Cardiff they left with a 5-3 win and now two months later Tim Wallace's side head into Wales looking to pick up fourth win in the last six league games.

The Panthers have pulled themselves back up to fifth in the league and are on the cusp of going higher, however not picking up points in Cardiff could see them drop a place.

Cardiff have won five straight games since the double home defeat to Belfast and are now only a point behind Sheffield at the top of the table.

Both sides won their midweek Challenge Cup games to keep winning runs going.

1900 Glasgow Clan vs. Guildford Flames

With only one win in their last five league games, Glasgow Clan welcome Guildford to Braehead looking to not fall out of the top five altogether.

A thrilling comeback win in Manchester was the only victory during that time, but as the Clan welcome more players back from injury there are hopes their form will turn around. The midweek win against Dundee saw the Clan into the Challenge Cup Semi-Finals.

Guildford have won five of their seven visits to Glasgow since joining the Elite League, and are on the back of a four-game winning streak in the league. However, a midweek defeat to Nottingham in the cup will now see the Flames looking to show a reaction after a very disappointing first period against the Panthers.

1900 Manchester Storm vs. Coventry Blaze

It's very much a four-pointer at the Storm Shelter with the visit to Manchester of Coventry.

Just one regulation win separates the Storm from leapfrogging the Blaze and going into the playoff places, but that gap could be extended to four points if the visitors take the win tonight.

Both sides have been on poor runs of form. Coventry ended a winless run with a victory in Dundee last Sunday, while Manchester have now lost three in a row after a very disappointing Week 15.

1900 Sheffield Steelers vs. Fife Flyers

Sheffield Steelers will look to stay top of the table when they host a Fife team that they've beaten comfortable in the three meetings so far this season.

A 4-1 home win against the Flyers together with road victories of the same scoreline and 10-3 have been part of the wins putting Sheffield into first place. Of last the Steelers have been inconsistent but they are the second-best home team in the EIHL so far.

Fife haven't won in Sheffield for 14 months but will need to puck something up this weekend if they're to risk falling down the table further. On 22 points from 23 games the Flyers are on the cusp of being able to climb several places up the table with a few wins - but could easily be involved in a playoff scrap if not.
