Tonight: Back to league action in Dundee

It's a return to league action for Dundee Stars and Belfast Giants after midweek exploits in the Challenge Cup.

Dundee are looking to end a five-game losing streak which was extended on Wednesday night as they went out of the cup to Glasgow in a 4-1 defeat (5-2 aggregate). Despite sitting at the foot of the table The Stars have won three out of five meetings again the Giants in all competitions so far this season.

Belfast were shutout at home by Cardiff midweek going down by a single goal in their Challenge Cup first leg. In the league after an inconsistent start, the Giants still sit third and only four points off Sheffield at the top with three games in hand on the Steelers. A win tonight won't move the Giants any higher but would put them only a point behind the Devils.

Goal scoring has been an issue for both teams over the course of the season so far - the Stars average 2.83 a game, while the Giants are only a little higher on 2.95. Both teams are hitting under 85% on the powerplay.
