Tuesday: Huge clash in race for playoffs

Nottingham Panthers host Fife Flyers in what is a huge game for the two teams trying to claim a place in the 2024 Playoffs.

Both the Panthers and Flyers sit outside of a playoff place, three and one point behind respectively, as they enter the final run-in. The Panthers have 10 games left to make up their deficit, while the Flyers have only eight to go and have played a game more than the teams they're chasing. 

The Panthers have won three out of four against the Flyers so far this season, including both meetings at the Motorpoint Arena - the last of which was decided in overtime.Both teams won their last games, and have been in decent form - Fife have picked up six points from the last 10 on offer, while the Panthers have returned four in the same period.

Fife narrowly have the better powerplay this season with a 20.29% strike rate against the Panthers' 19.84%, but their penalty killing his superior at 77.18% against 74.24% (the league's worst).
