Sheffield Steelers began their double-header of Retro games with a special pre-game presentation of legends back on the Utilita Arena Ice.

Steelers welcomed back Ken Priestlay, Ron Shudra, David Longstaff, Nicky Chinn, Andre Malo, Scott Neil and Mike O’Connor, who have a combined 2,183 Steelers games between them, including 944 goals and 1,200 assists.

For Priestlay, it was his first time back in the arena in more than 20 years. Priestley and Shudra have their numbers 9 and 26 retired by the Steelers. Priestley's return was so hotly anticipated that the club sold out the initial Meet & Greet with him so quickly that a second has been organised for Sunday night.

The players were presented to the crowd on the ice ahead of puck drop during Saturday night's game, in which the Steelers also worse retro jerseys dating back to 1997.

The Steelers face Belfast Giants again on Sunday afternoon in what is almost already a sell-out crowd.
