The sides will face each other again on Saturday night in the double header, which is also the Panthers' second visit to Belfast this season. They were beaten 4-3 in December.

Home side Giants had more roster movements this week. Quinn Preston left the club, while former captain David Goodwin was announced as returning, joining defenseman Will Cullen who is IR cover for Miles Gendron. The Giants were beaten at home by Fife in a shootout last weekend, surrendering a 3-0 lead, before Sunday's visit to Cardiff was postponed due to fog preventing the Giants' plane from taking off.

Nottingham slipped down to last in the league last Saturday, but moved off the foot of the table the next night with a win in Fife, going back ahead of the Flyers in the standings. The Panthers are four points off a playoff place, but still have at least four games in hand on the teams above them.
