Clan into fifth with home win

Glasgow Clan followed up their Thursday night win over Belfast with a 4-1 victory over Fife Flyers at a sold-out Braehead Arena.

Coming off the back of conceding ten goals in their last game, the Flyers gave up only nine shots in the opening period in Glasgow, but were one down early. A puck falling kindly for Dyson Stevenson in front of Andy Little allowed him to open the scoring after only 66 seconds, but an even game after that saw the period end with Clan just one ahead.

A nice passing play set up Charlie Combs for to give Clan a 2-0 lead on the poweprlay at 31:34, neatly reaching around little to find the back of the net. Teemu Pulkkinen pulled a goal back for the Flyers just over three minutes later to make it a one-goal game heading into the third.

6:04 into period three, Luke Lynch put Clan back two ahead with another powerplay marker. Cody Sol had the final word with an empty-netter with one second remaining to give Clan their second straight win.
