The 2023/24 Challenge Cup starts it knock-out phase tonight with two Quarter-Final first legs, both of which take place in Scotland.

Fourth seeds Fife Flyers host fifth-seeded Guildford Flames as the teams meet again in quick succession. Guildford took a 2-0 win in a league encounter on Sunday, their second over the Flyers in Surrey this season. Fife won the previous league fixtures in Kirkcaldy earlier this season. Last year, the Flyers famously got to the final of the cup after eliminating Dundee at this stage, although both legs ended in a tie. Guildford were comfortable victors over Coventry.

In Glasgow, sixth-seeded Clan play hosts to third seeds Cardiff Devils in their cup Quarter-Final first leg. The last time the Devils went to Glasgow, they came away 7-0 victors, but since then Clan have propelled themselves into third in the standings. Indeed, this is a clash of the teams placed third and second in the regular season standings. Clan have only won two of their last 10 home games against the Devils in regulation.
