Week 14: 1st vs. 3rd on FreeSports

A look ahead to this week's hockey

The Elite Ice Hockey League season moves into Week 14 of 31 in the regular season with just 11 points separating top to bottom.

Wednesday evening is another live FreeSports game, and after the past weekend the meeting of Sheffield and Belfast just took on added significance. The league-leading Steelers are a win ahead of the Giants two places below them after both sides picked up a four-point weekend. The Giants, crucially, have three games in hand as well. Join Aaron Murphy and Paul Adey from 1900 on Wednesday!

There's Friday night hockey in Braehead with second-placed Glasgow Clan hosting Nottingham before the other eight teams are back in action over the weekend.

On Saturday, Guildford look to get back to winning ways at home with the visit of Coventry, while both Manchester and Dundee battle for points to catch the teams in the playoff places. Sheffield then host Cardiff, while Belfast head to Fife.

Sunday sees the Giants still in Scotland, this time heading over to Dundee; while in the day's early game Nottingham return to home ice to take on rivals Sheffield. Fife and Guildford meet for the second Sunday in a row but this time in Kirkcaldy, Coventry host Manchester, and Cardiff looked to pick up home points against Glasgow.
