Final results

  • Belfast Giants 3-4 Guildford Flames
  • Cardiff Devils 1-3 Manchester Storm
  • Coventry Blaze 3-5 Dundee Stars
  • Fife Flyers 2-3 OT Glasgow Clan

Guildford Flames earned their first win of the league season in some style, on the road at the home of the defending champions. Mike Crocock and new signing Patrick Bajkov had the Flames two ahead in just over five minutes, but a Mark Cooper double brought the Giants level before the end of the opening period. Ryan Tait put the Flames back ahead 61 seconds into period two, and while Quinn Preston tied things up at 29:27, Lewis Hook hit what would be the game winner against his former side 11:23 into the second. Eamon McAdam stopped 37 shots to help the Flames to the win.

Manchester Storm came out of a tight came in Cardiff with both points, scoring the game winner with less than six minutes to go. After a scoreless opening period. Tyler Hinman put Storm ahead with 33:18 played. Brandon Alderson tied things up three minutes later on the powerplay to keep the game all square through 40 minutes. With 5:29 to play, Loren Ulett snapped home directly off a Cam Critchlow faceoff win to put Storm back ahead. Samuel Tremblay added the insurance empty-net goal with one seconds to play.

Dundee Stars earned their first road win of the season in Coventry. Goals 31 seconds apart from Ryna Valentini and Craig Garrigan had Dundee ahead inside three minutes, although Alessio Luciani pulled one back for the Blaze at 6:45. Kobe Roth tied the game at 28:27, but Josh Brittain had the Stars back ahead some eight minutes later. While Kim Tallberg tied things again to make it level heading into the third, Johnny Walker finished at the far post to put Dundee back ahead with 5:20 to go, while Spencer Naas found the empty net with 20 seconds remaining.

Captain Dyson Stevenson secured Glasgow Clan's first road win of the season as they came from two down to beat Scottish rivals Fife Flyers 3-2 in overtime. Casey Gilling gave the Flyers a first period lead, doubled by an excellent Kyle Osterberg finishing 7:14 into period two. Gary Haden pulled one back for Clan at 35:57, and 17 seconds later Bryce Reddick beat Shane Owen on a screened shot to tie things up. After no goals in the third, Clan made a powerplay count for Stevenson to get them the bonus point 86 seconds into OT.
