Saturday: Rivalries in both Challenge Cup fixtures

It's a rivalry Saturday night in the 2023/24 Challenge Cup in both of this evening's fixtures.

In Glasgow, Clan host Scottish rivals Dundee Stars for the first time this season in what is a crunch tie for each team. The home side have one win from three cup fixtures played, and are four points off Fife in second - a team they can overtake if they win their remaining fixtures. Dundee, on the other hand, have yet to pick up a cup point this campaign. They have two games left and will need to win both if they're to stand any chance of making the next round, and even then may need help in other groups.

The last time the Panthers hosted the Steelers, the visitors ran out 6-0 winners. Since that home drubbing, however, the Panthers have won four of their last five games and have got themselves into a healthy position in the early league table. They sit on two points from three cup games so far, four points behind the Steelers who have yet to drop a point in the cup this year with three wins. Indeed, Aaron Fox's team have only lost one game in total this season, but they face a Panthers team in a very different place to last month. For the Steelers, who are in the driving seat to win Group C, their target is on keeping their points percentage high enough for seeding in the next round.
