Stevenson automatically suspended for Instigating

Clan forward receives suspension

The Elite League's Department of Player safety has automatically fined and suspended Glasgow Clan #26 Dyson Stevenson for being assessed a fighting instigator, major and mandatory game misconduct during the final five minutes of Game 4 between Cardiff Devils and Glasgow Clan on 30 September 2023.

The incident will be recorded on the player's record for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

Rule 46 - Fighting: Fines and Suspensions (as per EIHL Casebook):

• (1) Instigator/Aggressor in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time (or Anytime in Overtime)
  • A player who is deemed to be the instigator/aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at any time in overtime shall be suspended for one additional game, pending a review of the incident.
