Belfast Giants' forward options for the new season were strengthened with the signing of forward Greg Printz on Thursday evening.

The 25-year-old Amerian comes to the Giants off the back of two AHL seasons where he logged 22 and 17 points respectively. Printz spent four seasons at Providence College prior to turning pro, and was the NCAA side's captain in his final year. He ended his college career with 70 points in 133 games.

"Greg is a great addition as we approach the end of the recruitment phase," began Head Coach Adam Keege. "Getting a player of his calibre at this stage in the process is great news for the Belfast Giants. He’s a big power forward who can play both ways and put the puck in the net.

"Greg is no stranger to Belfast, having played here in the Friendship Four with Providence. Former teammates Jeff Baum and Scott Conway both spoke highly of Greg as a player, teammate and person. He will fit in nicely with the group here."
