Manchester Storm host Nottingham Panthers on Friday night knowing a win will lock them into sixth place in the 2022/23 Viaplay Elite League standings.

The teams meet twice to round off regular season action with the Storm one place and two points ahead of the Panthers. Were the teams to finish the season tied, Manchester have the Regulation Wins tie-breaker and cannot be caught on it, so the Panthers need to get at least three points more than the Storm over these fixtures to finish sixth. A top-six placing will be Manchester's highest since 2018, while if the Panthers end seventh it will be their lowest-ever finish in the Elite League.

Manchester have won all four league meetings between the teams this season, while you have to go back to October 2021 to find the last time the Panthers left the Storm Shelter with a win in regulation.

Tickets for Friday's game have been selling strongly all week. Fans, especially those coming from Nottingham, are advised to book online before travelling.
