Sunday: All eyes on Scotland in push for playoff place

The race for the final playoff place in this season's Viaplay Elite League could go down to the wire, but tonight's game across Scotland will set up exactly how that plays out.

Dundee Stars return home from a win in Coventry to face the Blaze back in their own rink. That victory ended a nine-game skid for the Stars who have little option other than to win today to keep their playoff chances alive. Coventry missed the chance of moving closer to the top four with that defeat but could go to within three points of Cardiff if they win here and the Devils leave Belfast empty-handed.

The biggest clash of the day in the playoff race is in Kirkcaldy where Fife Flyers welcome Glasgow Clan to the Fife Ice Arena. Clan lead the Flyers by a point, but will only have two fixtures remaining after this game - home to Nottingham and away to Sheffield. Fife were beaten in Manchester on Saturday while Clan lost in Guildford in their first game for 13 days. A Flyers win here would put them in pole position for the final playoff place, while a Clan victory would leave Fife needing to win their game in hand and pick up extra points in their other two fixtures.
