Saturday: Top two both in action

It's a full five-game gameday on Saturday in the Viaplay Elite League which means both of the top two sides are in action as the race for the league title enters the final stretch.

Belfast Giants clinched the Viaplay Challenge Cup midweek but now return to league action to face Coventry Blaze in two straight over successive nights at the SSE Arena. Including tonight, the Giants have 10 games left this season and currently hold a four-point advantage over Guildford Flames who have two games in hand - crucially, though, the Giants have the regulation wins tie-break by some distance. Coventry arrive in Belfast off the back of a four-point weekend over Sheffield Steelers last time out which saw them cut the gap on fourth down to eight points with a game in hand.

Guildford Flames head to Manchester hoping to keep pace with Belfast at worst, and cut down the gap on them at best. However, Manchester hasn't been a happy hunting ground for the Flames this season with a split series so far, and they come up against a Storm side that has won its last five straight games.

Storm will be in their special retro jerseys tonight, recreating one of their iconic 90s looks.
