A look ahead to Week 12

Now over a third into the new season

A third of the 2019/20 season is already in the books as we move into Week 12 of the new Elite Ice Hockey League campaign.

Wednesday evening sees the second live FreeSports game of the season. The television cameras are up in Glasgow for the visit of Cardiff Devils, a game that pitches the current league leaders against the defending playoff champions.

On Friday, Nottingham begin their journey in the Continental Cup. The Panthers, who won this competition last time they took part in it, travel to Denmark where they'll face Amiens Gothiques (FRA), SonderjyskE Vojens (DEN) and Ferencváros (HUN) over three days. Nottingham need to finish in the Top 2 to make it through to the final round, where a place in next season's Champions Hockey League is the prize.

Back in domestic action, there are four games each day of this weekend. On Saturday Dundee will look to continue their winning streak when they head to Belfast, Manchester host Cardiff, Coventry look to make it three straight wins in Sheffield this season, and Scottish hostilities are resumed between Fife and Glasgow.

Sunday brings Belfast over to Coventry, while Manchester head down to Guildford. There's a real top of the table clash as Glasgow host Sheffield, and lastly Fife make the long trip down to Cardiff.
