Coventry Blaze forward Ross Venus iced in his 700th Elite League game when he skated out for Coventry Blaze against Sheffield Steelers at the Utilita Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The 28-year-old British forward becomes the 20th player to reach the milestone, and is only the 10th active to hit 700.

A product of the Blaze's youth academy, Venus made his debut for Coventry in the 2010/11 season and has been an ever present ever since. In Blaze history, Venus sits behind only Russell Cowley for the most all-time games for the club.
