A Quarter-Final shootout victory over local rivals Dundee saw the Flyers reach this stage for the first time in their history, and they come into this fixture in good form after picking up wins against both Coventry and Dundee over the past weekend. If they can make it into the final, the Flyers would be the first Scottish team to ever do so.

Sheffield snapped a two-game losing streak on their own ice with a home win over Manchester on Sunday which kept them three points off the top of the league. The Steelers went out at this stage of the cup last season to Cardiff in the one-game Semi-Final format, but this time have a second leg at the Utility Arena in February to navigate regardless of tonight’s outcome.
