Glasgow Clan beat a team in the Viaplay Elite League's top three for the second successive game, tying it late against Cardiff before beating the Devils 3-2 in overtime at Braehead Arena.

Clan, who won in Sheffield at the weekend, moved back into a playoff position after twice coming from behind against the Devils.

A speculative Joey Martin effort from the blue line put the Devils ahead with only 35 seconds played in Glasgow, but Clan were level 78 seconds before the first break as John Dunbar picked up a rebound and backhanded it into the corner of Ben Bowns' net.

Cole Sanford let a shot fly from distance that beat John Muse through a screen to put Cardiff back ahead with 33:37 on the clock, and that was a lead the visitors held until almost the very end.

With six skaters on the ice for the home side, the puck worked its way to Gary Haden in space at the back post to finish high past Bowns with 1:21 left in regulation.

In overtime, the Devils coughed up the puck in their own zone allowing Jordan Cownie to skate in and beat Bowns to win the extra point for the Clan!

Glasgow face Guildford on Friday as they go for a clean sweep of the top three.
