Friday: Giants host Stars

Belfast Giants host Dundee Stars for the final time in the Viaplay Elite League tonight as they look to keep up pressure on the top three.

A good festive period for the Giants saw them pull themselves closer to the sides at the top of the league standings, with with an 18-2-0-8 record through 28 games, they'll need to go on a run if they're to make further headway. Adam Keefe's Giants made the Semi-Finals of the Viaplay Challenge Cup on Wednesday night and are playing for the second time in three nights, but have won eight straight games since 17 December.

Dundee head across the sea are picking up two wins in their Christmas rivalry games against Fife and Glasgow. They beat each team once but find their Scottish rivals breathing down their neck for the last playoff place with only a point separating Jeff Mason's side from Fife, and two from Glasgow. The Stars have not won in Belfast for six games, a record going back to November 2021.

The sides will meet again in Dundee on Saturday.
