Glasgow Clan moved to within one point of climbing off the foot of the Viaplay Elite League table with a well-deserved 4-1 win in Dundee on Monday afternoon.

Nine minutes were on the clock when Andrew McLean gave the Clan the lead, one they doubled at 25:05 when he shot through a screen of players - Dyson Stevenson in front was credited with the goal at 25:05.

Carter Folk halved the arrears for the Stars at 28:08, but when Kevin Massy scored his first of tjh game at 33:03 the visitors were back two ahead. Massy netted on the powerplay with 1:46 to play in period two to put the Clan 4-1 ahead at the second intermission.

Brython Preece entered the Stars' net for period three and stopped all nine shots he faced in a scoreless final period. While Clan had controlled much of the possession in the previous two periods, it was now the Stars who had most of the puck in the third but on the few times they did trouble the Clan it was John Muse to the rescue. Clan's netminder ended the game with 35 saves.
