Nottingham Panthers completed a four-point weekend thanks to a home shutout victory over Fife Flyers.

A goal in each of the opening two periods helped the Panthers build a two-goal lead after 40 minutes at the Motorpoint Arena, less than 24 hours after the Panthers beat the Flyers 4-1 in Kirkcaldy.

Tanner Sorenson put the Panthers ahead 1:32 from the first intermission on a rebound in front of Shane Owen after a period of pressure from the home side. 5:26 into period two, Stephen Anderson fired home in the slot after an excellent pass in front from Craig Puffer.

The home side pulled away in period three after the Flyers couldn't clear the zone, and Mike Hammond eventually poked the puck home from close range at 54:32. Sorenson then ended the scoring with 1:53 to play when he one-timed a rebound from a Luke Ferrara shot past a stranded Owen.
