Last-placed Glasgow Clan face table toppers Guildford Flames this Friday evening in the Viaplay Elite League.

For Paul Dixon's Flames, it is part one of a Scottish double-header this weekend, with his team heading into Fife tomorrow. Clan are home again on Saturday night for the visit of Sheffield Steelers.

Clan, who sit two points off a playoff place but have played some three games more than Manchester, have turned a corner recently with four wins in their last six games. They will, however, be beginning life without top scorer Mathieu Roy who left the team earlier this week. Clan are a top three side based on form over the past five games.

Guildford have won their last six straight games and enjoy a six-point lead at the top of the table. In league play, they haven't lost a road game since the opening weekend of the season, a record stretching back eight games. The Flames were 4-2 winners when the sides met in October in Braehead, and have won two home games against the Clan so far this season.
