Cardiff Devils responded to a home overtime defeat on Saturday night with a comfortable 3-0 shutout of Fife flyers in Kirkcaldy on Sunday evening.

The visitors got off to the perfect start in Fife, scoring inside a minute and going two up nine to silence the home crowd and kill the Flyers' momentum from their 5-1 win in Manchester the previous evening. Joey Martin finished a nice passing play from Trevor Cox and Marcus Crawford to opening the scoring with 50 seconds played, while Sam Duggan's smart pass allowed Josh Brittain to shoot through a partial screen and beat Shane Own again at 8:44.

Cardiff killed two penalties in the middle period as the home side tried to force their way back into the game, but when Blake Thompson made it 3-0 1:50 into period three the game was as good as over. Ben Bowns recorded a 28-shot shutout in the Welsh side's win.
