Saturday: Storm host Steelers in penultimate cup group stage game

Manchester Storm play their penultimate Viaplay Challenge Cup Group Stage game against Sheffield Steelers on Saturday night.
With Nottingham Panthers still to come tomorrow, this game is a strange one for Storm. Regardless of tonight's outcome, Storm will still need to beat the Panthers in the final group game. However, if Storm win here they could afford for Sunday's game to be won in overtime; if they failed to take two points tonight, they'll have to win tomorrow in regulation to be able to beat the Panthers on the tie-breaker.
Whether Storm qualify for the next round is, therefore, very much in their own hands, although the conclusion of Group B can still affect the final seedings. One thing is certain however - if Storm pick up no points this weekend, they will be eliminated.
Sheffield have already won Group C and secured second overall seeding for the Quarter-Finals.
