Cardiff Devils play the first of two home games in three nights when they welcome Fife Flyers to Ice Arena Wales this Wednesday evening.

In the first game of November 2022, and the first as the Viaplay Elite League, the Devils and Flyers meet with both sides having won only two of their last five games in league play.

Cardiff's dramatic overtime comeback win over Coventry on Saturday was followed up by a disappointing road loss in Nottingham, leaving Brodie Dupont's team with 15 points from their opening 11 games. A points percentage of 68% ranks them fourth. Taran Kozun got the start in net for both games last weekend, stopping 90.3% of shots.

Fife came out of an 11-goal thriller in Manchester last Sunday with a win to move them on to seven points through their opening 11 league games. Todd Dutiaume's side give up an average of four goals per game so far, the exact same number Cardiff average for scoring. At the other end is where Fife's problem has been, however, averaging just 2.73 per game in the goals for column.
